A practical transfer station on the south side of Lady Lake where locals drop off household and yard material instead of driving out to a distant landfill. Neighbors, landscapers and small haulers use it-especially during yard cleanup season and after storms. It feels like a working place, not a lot of frills, just where the trucks get topped off and moved on.
Drive up to an entrance booth and be prepared to pull through a scale; most people stop there before and after unloading. The site has open tipping areas and large compactors, so trucks and trailers come in, unload onto a concrete pad, then larger vehicles haul it away. Recycling and yard-waste spots tend to be off to the side of the main tipping area, and during busy weekends or after hurricane cleanups the line for the scale can stretch out onto the road. Watch for backing trucks and follow the painted lanes and arrows-this place moves big loads and drivers expect you to keep clear.
