(813) 744-5533A county transfer station where local trash is compacted and loaded onto bigger trucks for hauling out of the area. Neighbors and small haulers use it when they don't want to drive all the way to a landfill. It's the kind of place that gets busy around yard-cleanup season and after storms.
There’s an entrance booth and a lane to pull up for a quick check before driving in. A scale is usually part of the flow so vehicles may need to stop twice - once in and once out - and fees are commonly weight-based at transfer stations. The site is mostly concrete and big open bays with compactors and piles of material, and separate piles or bays for green waste are often visible. Lines build up on weekend mornings and after hurricanes, so expect short waits at peak times.
