Brevard County Mockingbird Mulching Facility

3600 South St, Titusville, FL 32780

(321) 264-5009

This is the county mulching and disposal site out on South Street in Titusville, used by residents hauling yard trimmings and other household loads. It’s the kind of place locals swing by after a big yard day or after storms when the piles get bigger than the trash can. Expect a practical, working site rather than anything fancy.

Pull off South Street into a fenced parcel with an entrance booth and lanes to drive up - most people line up to check in and then head toward the drop-off areas. There are large mulch and debris piles, open bays and separate sections for yard material; sections get busy and sometimes messy after storms. Vehicles usually have to stop to be weighed or checked before leaving, so plan for a brief pause at the scale/exit area. The ground is mostly gravel or packed dirt and trucks, trailers, and pickup beds are common sights.

Before You Go

  • Try to bundle or tarp loose material so it doesn’t blow out of the truck on the drive home; loose debris tends to scatter on site and the road.
  • Weekends and the days after heavy storms are the busiest - arriving early in the morning cuts down wait time.
  • Sort yard debris from other trash in advance where possible; being ready to pull to the right area keeps things moving faster for everyone.
