Sandtown Landfill is the municipal landfill out on Willow Grove Road in Felton, used by residents and commercial haulers who need a final disposal site. It's the kind of place people visit when recycling or drop-off options won't do and a load has to be buried long-term.
Pull up to an entrance booth and be prepared to drive over a scale; tipping fees at landfills are commonly weight-based with a residential minimum and commercial loads handled on a different fee schedule. The site is large and mostly open earth and cells, with clear traffic lanes for trucks and smaller vehicles; trucks back up to the active face while cars usually move to a separate dumping area. Expect to stop twice if scale weights are taken in and out, and plan for some waiting when trailers or roll-offs are in line.
