This is Newington Town Landfill And Recycle Center, the town recycling spot people use when clearing out basements, dropping off curbside overflow, or unloading recycling from small home projects. Neighbors, contractors with small loads, and anyone with recycling that doesn’t fit at the curb come through here.
Drive up Main Street and look for a gatehouse/booth where vehicles stop before entering the yard; there’s usually a scale nearby so loads are weighed in and out. Pull-up lanes lead to several large roll-off bins and enclosed containers; the mixed recyclables bins are often to the right after the booth. The site feels industrial-paved areas, concrete pads, and piles or containers for different materials-so plan on taking items to different drop points rather than one central bin.
