(860) 799-5068New Milford Recycling Center is the town recycling spot on Young's Field Road that locals use for dropping off household recyclables and larger items that don't fit at the curb. Neighbors, landscapers, and folks doing cleanouts all swing by; it’s the place people think of when there’s more than a bin can handle. The site handles the usual mix of single-stream recyclables and often has programs for electronics, bulky items, and yard debris at similar centers.
Drive in from Young's Field Road and slow down for an entrance booth and a small scale area typical of transfer/recycling sites. Recycling bins are usually grouped together to the right of the drive, with larger drop-off bays or a building set back for things like electronics or bulky items. Vehicles often line up on weekends and spring cleanup days, so expect to move slowly through lanes and to be directed where to pull up. Staff or signage will indicate where to unload different materials, and there’s typically a separate area for bulky items and for recyclables.
