Drive up to an entrance booth and wait your turn in a short line on busy days; weekends and spring cleanup bring the largest crowds. The site is industrial-looking - concrete pads, compactors, and roll-off containers - not a neat recycling center. Many transfer stations have a scale and charge by weight, so expect to stop again on the way out. Recycling collection areas are usually to the side of the main drop-off area, and vehicles pull up to different bays depending on load type.
