Tower Landfill Inc. on Tower Road in Commerce City is the big local landfill where homeowners, landscapers and contractors haul their heavier stuff. Trucks, roll-offs and pickup loads show up all the time, so it feels like a working industrial site more than a tidy recycling center. Expect a no-frills, practical place for burying the stuff that can’t be reused.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale - tipping fees are weight-based, so vehicles stop to be weighed. The site is wide open, mostly dirt and gravel, with large piles and heavy equipment moving around; watch for big trucks when backing up. After the booth, traffic is directed toward the active dumping area and any recycling/drop-off containers are usually off to one side. Lines form on weekends and during spring cleanup, so it can get backed up at peak times.
