Sedalia Recycling Center & Depository on Highway 85 is the small-town drop-off for recyclables for Sedalia and nearby areas. Locals bring cardboard, paper, glass, plastics and metals, and the site also runs the occasional special collection program for harder-to-recycle items.
Pull in off Highway 85 and look for the entrance booth and scale-expect to stop there and possibly again on the way out if loads are weighed. The site is the kind of place with open tipping areas and large outdoor bins; recyclables are sorted into separate containers, usually to the right after the entrance. Weekends, especially spring cleanup times, can back up into the road so plan for a little wait. Bring materials tidy and sorted to speed things up at the drop-off.
