A small transfer station out on K 50 Rd that most Hotchkiss folks use when they don’t want to drive all the way to a landfill. Mostly residential traffic and pickup trucks come through with yard debris, old furniture and the usual household cleanout stuff. It’s the kind of no-frills place locals swing by for a quick drop-off.
A single entrance with a modest attendant booth and a gravel drive - pull up to the booth first to check in. There’s a scale and compacting area where loads are combined and hauled off to a landfill elsewhere, so expect to stop at the scale during the visit. Recycling containers and drop-off points tend to be grouped to one side of the lot, with larger roll-off areas beyond them. Weekends and spring cleanup bring lines, so plan a little extra time if it’s a busy day.
