(303) 258-7878Nederland Transfer Station and Recycling Drop sits just off Ridge Road and is used by locals hauling recyclables and small loads from town and the surrounding mountain neighborhoods. Neighbors bring cardboard, bottles, cans and other common recyclables here to keep them out of the landfill. The place has a community feel-often busy on weekends and quieter midweek.
Drive up to the entrance at 286 Ridge Rd and look for a small gate or booth where vehicles queue; larger trucks can maneuver but expect tighter turns than a valley facility. Recycling bins and drop-off points are grouped on the right past the entry area, with piles and containers for paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metal, plus space for yard-type material in season. There’s a scale or weighing area for bigger loads, so plan to stop twice if bringing more than a carload. The site is compact and a bit rugged-gravel surfaces, simple signage, and the usual mountain dust on slower days.
