Morgan County SWDLandfill is the county landfill out on CR-22 just outside Fort Morgan. Residents, local haulers and contractors all use it as the place to drop bulky trash and commercial loads when other options won’t do.
A scale and a small entrance booth are usually the first things seen, so plan on stopping to be weighed. After the booth, drivers are directed to the active tipping area where trucks and trailers back in and dump onto a compacted pad. The site is mostly dirt and gravel with big, layered piles and heavy equipment moving around; take it slow inside. Most landfills around here operate on a tipping-fee structure based on weight or volume, and commercial loads are commonly accepted at county landfills.
