City Of Loveland Solid Waste Division

2525 W 1st St, Loveland, CO 80537

(970) 962-2529

City of Loveland Solid Waste Division is the local spot for household trash, recycling and yard debris for people in Loveland. Neighborhood residents and small pickup loads are commonly seen here, with trucks and trailers mixed in with cars.

Drive up W 1st St and follow signs toward the scale house and entrance booth; there’s a place to stop before driving into the main yard. The site is a working yard-roll-off containers, piles of green waste and sorting areas are visible from the drive lanes. Vehicles usually have to pass over a scale and then back through on exit, so plan for a brief stop at both ends. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, tend to be busier and lines can form at the entrance.

Before You Go

  • Cover and tie down loose material so it doesn’t blow out of the truck or trailer while driving through the site.
  • Bring a tarp or a couple of bungee cords to secure loads; it’s much easier to unload when things are contained.
  • If hauling cardboard, flatten boxes ahead of time to save space and make the drop-off quicker.
