A working landfill just outside Delta, serving residents and haulers around Eckert and the surrounding valleys. It’s the place where trash gets buried long-term, used by people dropping off household cleanups as well as larger commercial deliveries.
Drive in and slow down for the scale and the small entrance booth; tipping fees are typically assessed by weight, so expect to stop there and again on the way out. The site is large and open with dirt and gravel roads leading to the active cells and berms, and trucks maneuvering to dumping spots. Bring a vehicle that can handle gravel grading and some dust, and allow time - lines build up on weekends and during spring cleanup season.

- Secure loads with tarps or straps so lightweight stuff doesn’t blow out on the access roads.
- Plan for delays: weekends and spring are busiest, so midweek mornings are usually quicker if that’s possible.
- Have the vehicle ready to drive on uneven, dusty surfaces-closed-toe shoes and a sturdy pickup are helpful for unloading.
