(707) 869-3878Republic Services of Sonoma County Guerneville Transfer Station is the local spot in Guerneville where residential loads get dropped off to be compacted and hauled elsewhere. Locals, landscapers, and anyone with a truck or trailer use it when a trip to a distant landfill isn’t practical. It sits off Pocket Drive near the river, so it’s easy to find if heading out of town toward the state park areas.
Drive up to an entrance booth and stop briefly at the scale area - fees at transfer stations are typically based on weight, so expect to stop again on the way out. The site is mostly concrete and heavy equipment; large open bays and a tall pile or two of compacted material are visible from the entrance. Recycling and organics sorting is common in California, so materials are often directed to separate containers just past the initial drop area. Weekends, especially spring cleanup season, tend to have lines, while weekday mornings are usually quieter.
