L & D Landfill on Fruitridge Road is where people haul the stuff that won't fit in the curbside bin. Locals and commercial haulers both use it when construction debris, big household toss-outs, or yard clippings need to be taken off-site.
Drive up and there’s a scale and an entrance booth - tipping fees are charged by weight so expect to be weighed and then settled with at the booth. The site is mostly open dirt, compacted piles and roll-off trucks; pickups mix with big trucks so watch for backing vehicles. Weekends, especially during spring cleanup, tend to be the busiest times and lines can form on Fruitridge Road.
