Hazardous Waste

Delta Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility

2550 Pittsburg-Antioch Hwy, Pittsburg, CA 94565

(925) 756-1990

This is the household hazardous waste drop-off for Pittsburg residents; neighbors bring things like old paint cans, batteries, and other household hazardous items here. It's mainly used by local households, not large commercial haulers, so expect a community-scale operation rather than an industrial plant.

A small entrance booth and a gated yard are the first things seen from the road, with lanes to pull up and unload. Vehicles usually stop at the booth to check in before moving to the unloading area, and larger trucks take a bit more room to maneuver. The site feels like a working yard-paved areas, covered bays, and rows of containers-so bring something to secure items during transfer. Weekends can be noticeably busier than weekdays, which leads to lines at the gate and slower traffic through the site.

Before You Go

  • Bring items already in leak-proof containers or double-bagged so nothing spills while unloading.
  • Pull up with the passenger side closest to the unloading crew or bays; it saves time and avoids awkward maneuvering.
  • Arrive early in the day on a weekday if possible-lines tend to be shorter and parking is easier for a quick drop-off.
