(760) 863-4094Coachella Valley Transfer Sta is the small transfer station off Landfill Road in Coachella that most locals use instead of driving all the way to a distant landfill. People bring household junk, yard trimmings and construction-type loads; the place compacts everything and trucks it out to a landfill elsewhere. It’s a practical drop-off for residents and small haulers who want something closer than a long drive.
There’s a pay booth and a drive lane you’ll pull up to before getting directed into the unloading area, so expect to stop at the front. A large scale and concrete unloading bays and compactors are visible from the drive - trucks come and go and things can be dusty, especially on windy days. Plan on backing trailers into a bay or walking items to a concrete pit depending on what’s accepted. California rules mean organics and recyclables are often separated, so having materials pre-sorted speeds things up.
