Small transfer station tucked into the Camp Roberts area on Sanitary Fill Road. Neighbors use it for household loads and small trailers when a direct trip to a distant landfill isn't practical. It’s a working, no-frills place-more about dropping off and compacting than anything fancy.
There’s an entrance booth and a weigh scale-transfer stations commonly weigh loads, so expect to stop again on the way out. Pull up to the booth, then follow the traffic flow past large roll-off boxes or a tipping floor where trucks transfer compacted trash into larger trailers. The site looks industrial: lots of trucks, compactors and bare ground or concrete slabs, with equipment moving around. Weekends and spring-cleaning times get backed up, so lines can form.
