Boron Sanitary Landfill is the local landfill in Boron where residential and commercial trash is buried. Residents, local haulers, and commercial trucks all use this facility. It’s the final stop for trash from around town and nearby routes.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale-tipping fees are charged by weight, so plan to stop for weighing on the way in and again when leaving. The site is large and open, with graded cells, mounded cover dirt, and heavy equipment moving around; trucks and pickups share the lanes. Pull up to the booth in a single-file lane and follow the flow; vehicle maneuvering can take a minute if larger haulers are present. Weekends and spring cleanup periods tend to be the busiest times.
