WCA Union County Landfill is the big burial site just off Smackover Highway in El Dorado, used by homeowners cleaning out garages and by commercial haulers bringing larger loads. It’s the final stop where trash gets buried rather than sorted or recycled. Expect to see a mix of pickup trucks, roll-offs, and larger commercial rigs on site.
There’s an entrance booth and a scale - vehicles usually stop to be weighed and then again after dumping, so plan for that extra stop. The site is expansive with visible lined cells and heavy equipment moving around, so slow down and follow the traffic flow. Pull up to the active tipping area when directed; crews or signage will indicate where to unload. Weekends, especially in spring, often have longer lines and some dusty or muddy driving surfaces depending on recent weather.
