Saline County RWMD Landfill is out on W. Sardis Road in Bauxite and is the county landfill locals use for household and commercial rubbish. It’s where trash gets buried - like most landfills there are tipping fees, usually charged by weight or volume, and typically a minimum charge for small residential loads.
Pull up toward a small entrance booth and be ready for a weigh-in; many landfills have a scale so you may need to stop again on the way out. The site is broad and workmanlike, with dirt/gravel roads, piles of cover material, and steady heavy-truck traffic. Commercial trucks and roll-offs are common at county sites, so expect larger vehicles alongside pickups. If recycling drop-offs are available they’re usually off to the side of the main tipping area, so sorting beforehand speeds things up.
