Jefferson County Landfill

6000 Gravel Pit Road, Pine Bluff, AR 71602

800-963-4776

Jefferson County Landfill is the big burial site for household and commercial trash serving White Hall and the surrounding area. Locals and haulers use it when smaller drop-off points or transfer stations aren’t an option. It’s the final stop where loads get weighed and buried rather than processed on-site.

Drive up Gravel Pit Road to a scale house and expect to be weighed-tipping fees are charged by weight, so there’s usually a stop in and a stop out. The site is large, with long dirt or gravel drives and visible cells of compacted trash; commercial trucks are common here alongside pickup trucks and trailers. Pull up to the tipping area when directed by the attendant at the booth and then proceed to the active dump face to unload. Lines can build up on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so there may be a short wait before getting onto the scales.

Before You Go

  • Cover loose material on trailers and trucks so debris doesn’t blow out on the drive; it keeps the roads cleaner and avoids extra hassle.
  • Plan to drive slowly on gravel surfaces and follow signs from the scalehouse to the unloading area-big trucks need space to maneuver.
  • If hauling a commercial load, have any necessary paperwork or manifest details ready to hand over at the booth to keep the line moving.
