Located just off AR-217 in West Helena, it handles the final disposal of municipal and commercial trash. The facility operates under Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality oversight.
Expect a sizable, open site with a scale house near the entrance where vehicles stop to be weighed; tipping fees are calculated by weight. Pull up to the booth to check in, then follow the access road to the working face or instructed unloading area. The yard looks rugged-dirt roads, compacted working areas, and rolling piles-so drive carefully and watch for heavy equipment. Weekends and spring cleanup times commonly have backups at the entrance and scale.
