(501) 760-5276Garland County Transfer Station is the local transfer station on Airport Road that most Hot Springs residents use when they don't want to drive all the way to a distant landfill. Trucks and pickup loads show up here to have trash compacted and loaded for transport out of county. It’s a working yard-used by homeowners, contractors with small loads, and city crews alike.
Drive in off Airport Road and there’s a small entrance with a booth and scale area where vehicles queue before unloading. The yard itself is open and industrial: large bays or containers for dropping loads, heavy equipment moving material, and a place where trash gets compacted and put on trucks. Recycling bins are often set off to one side past the entry point, and larger roll-off containers sit nearer the back. Lines tend to form on weekends or during seasonal cleanups, so expect some waiting if it’s busy.
