Cannon Landfill

Cannon Landfill is the municipal landfill out on German Springs Road that people from White Hall and nearby parts of Jefferson County use when garbage or big cleanups need a final resting place. It’s a true landfill-where material gets buried-so both homeowners and commercial haulers going beyond what a convenience center handles will come here. Arkansas facilities fall under ADEQ, so this is the kind of place county folks use when a curbside pickup or small convenience center won’t cut it.

Drive in past a manned entrance booth and likely cross a scale so vehicles are weighed; most landfills charge tipping fees based on weight rather than per-item. Pull up to the drop-off area the staff directs you to, unload where instructed, then drive back over the scale to get the outbound weight recorded. The site is large and mostly open; expect dirt roads, compacted trash mounds, and heavy equipment working the cells. Commercial trucks typically use the same scale and processes as residential vehicles, though they often have different fee categories.
