(520) 290-8588Small but busy, the Speedway Recycling and Landfill Facility on E Speedway is the place folks drop off curb-sort recyclables and load up to keep junk out of the desert. Drive up to a staffed entrance booth and a visible scale area; many Tucson sites use scales so be prepared for a quick weigh-in. Open-air bays and rows of containers are common, with areas for cardboard, mixed recyclables, metals and glass - loose items can get dusty thanks to the dry Arizona wind. Weekends and spring-cleanup times bring lines and tight parking, while the whole site tends to look industrial: concrete pads, piles, and heavy equipment moving material around.
