A scalehouse and weighscale are at the entrance and exit, so vehicles stop to be weighed and tipping fees are assessed by weight. Pull up to the booth first to check in, then follow the access road to the active tipping area - the site is broad with mounded cells and dirt roads rather than paved aisles. There are usually separate spots for recycling or oversized items off to the side, and the whole place looks like a typical desert landfill: dusty, exposed soil, and heavy equipment moving loads.
