Republic Transfer Station

Republic Transfer Station on E Germann Rd is the local transfer station in Chandler where residents and small haulers drop off household junk and load up for the trip to a bigger landfill. Trucks compact loads here and then haul them out, so it's a lot easier for local folks than driving all the way to a regional landfill.

Drive in and you'll see an entrance booth and lanes for trucks to pull up; there's usually a scale so vehicles are weighed on the way in or out. After the booth, pull up to the unloading area where concrete bays and large compactors handle the material before it goes on the big haulers. The site is industrial - dusty in dry weather, with piles and machinery and a few roll-off containers or recycling bins tucked near the side. Weekends and spring cleanup days can be busy, so expect short lineups at the gate during peak times.
