(602) 237-2078Republic Services Cactus Landfill is the big pit-and-cover spot out on Deep Well Ranch Road that locals and haulers use when curbside pickup won’t do. Trucks, trailers and folks with big cleanouts end up here; smaller neighborhood drop-offs are usually handled elsewhere. The desert setting means it’s a sprawling, open site rather than a tight city transfer station.
There’s a drive-in gate with a scale house where loads are weighed and charged by weight, so expect to stop at the booth then roll onto the scales again before leaving. The site feels large - mounded cells, dirt roads and equipment moving around - and it’s not a tidy retail-style place. Wind and dust are noticeable on dry days, so windows up and a covered load are sensible. As a full landfill, it commonly handles commercial loads as well as residential hauls, with different tipping fee tiers based on weight and type of material.
