Marana Regional Landfill

14508 West Avra Valley Rd, Marana

800-963-4776

Marana Regional Landfill is the big burying spot out on West Avra Valley Road where both neighborhood pickups and larger haulers end up. Locals, landscapers and commercial trucks all use it when trash, construction debris or brush need a final resting place. It's a regional landfill serving Marana and surrounding areas in Arizona's dry desert climate.

Drive up to a staffed entrance booth and be prepared to pull over onto a scale - charges are weight-based, so there’s a weigh-in and then a weigh-out. The site is wide open with dirt roads and working faces of compacted trash and soil; expect dust and truck traffic, especially on windy days. There are separate drop-off spots depending on load type and size, and commercial loads are handled there alongside residential ones. Lines can build up on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so plan for short waits if it’s busy.

Before You Go

  • Bring a tarp or secure cover for loose loads - wind can blow dirt and debris on the way in and out.
  • Have a clear plan for where to dump before driving onto the working area; lanes for heavy trucks differ from smaller vehicle drop zones.
  • Drive slowly and watch for heavy equipment and unloaded trucks; visibility can be limited by dust and the scale area can get congested.
