Casa Grande Landfill

5200 Chuichu Rd, Casa Grande, AZ 85193

(520) 421-8625

Casa Grande Landfill is the big burying spot out on Chuichu Road that serves people hauling trash from town and the surrounding desert. Lots of pickup trucks, trailers and roll-offs show up here; it’s the kind of place contractors and residents both use when junk won’t fit in the curbside bin. The setting is very Arizona - dusty, open, and built to handle large volumes of material.

Drive in past a small entrance booth and be ready to stop on a scale - tipping fees at landfills like this are usually charged by weight, so expect to be weighed coming in and again on the way out. The site is expansive with piles, compacted cells and cover dirt visible; pull up where directed and follow traffic flow toward the dumping area. Recycling or drop-off bins are often off to one side near the entrance, and there’s usually room to maneuver a trailer or a large truck without too much trouble. Weekends and spring cleanup times get noticeably busier, and the place can be dusty on windy days.

Before You Go

  • Use a tarp over loose loads - the wind picks up easily and debris can blow off on the drive in.
  • Bring something to secure longer items in a trailer; the lanes are wide but turns near the drop-off can be tight.
  • Plan for potential wait times on weekends or holiday cleanups and position larger vehicles toward the back of the queue to make backing into the dump area easier.
