Turkey Trot Landfill is the big county landfill on Mannish Ryan Road in Citronelle where both household and commercial loads end up. It's a full-scale landfill, so commercial trucks are common and tipping fees are handled by weight rather than by flat per-item charges. Locals use it for bulky junk, construction debris and yard cleanup.
Pull up to the scale/office at the entrance to get weighed in and then drive out to the working face to dump; trucks usually come back through the scale to be weighed out. The site is open and dusty with heavy equipment and cover dirt visible around the cells, so drive slowly and watch for loaders. Passenger trucks and big rigs share the same lanes, which can create a short backup on busy days, especially during spring cleanups. Have loads ready to unload so the stop at the scale doesn’t turn into a long delay.
