Expect a working landfill atmosphere with visible cell areas, cover soil, and heavy equipment moving around; there’s usually a weigh scale and a weigh/entrance booth where vehicles stop before and after dumping. Drive slowly onto a paved approach, pull up to the booth if present, then follow signs or staff direction toward the active tipping face or unloading pad. Tipping fees are charged by weight or load size at most landfills, and commercial trucks are typically accepted, so larger rigs are common on-site.
