(256) 880-6054Solid Waste Disposal Authority HunTransfer Stationville Waste to Energy Facility is the local transfer station in Huntsville where household and small commercial loads are dropped off for compaction and hauling to a landfill. Neighbors and contractors who don’t want to drive out to a distant landfill use it for quicker drop-offs. The site sits on Triana Blvd SW, so it’s easy to find off the main road.
Drive up to a staffed entrance booth and be prepared to pull up where directed; there’s usually a scale and a place to stop before entering the tipping area. Vehicles then move to the unloading pad or compactor area while larger transfer trucks come and go on the far side of the yard. The site has heavy equipment and concrete bays, so expect dust and noise and give equipment operators plenty of space. Lines build up on weekends and during seasonal cleanups, so plan for occasional wait time.
