(205) 763-8001Republic Services Talledaga Transfer Station is the local transfer point in Lincoln where household and commercial loads get compacted and sent on to a landfill elsewhere. Residents and small haulers use it when driving to a distant landfill isn't practical, and the site sits just off Speedway Blvd so it's easy to spot from the road.
There’s a small entrance booth and an approach where trucks and pickups line up to check in; expect to pull up slowly and wait your turn. The site itself is mostly open pavement with large bays and compactors set back from the entrance, and tractor-trailers come and go hauling out full trailers. Vehicles are usually directed to a drop-off area and then routed back out, so plan for a short loop through the property. Weekends and spring-cleanup times tend to get backed up, so waits can form during busy periods.
