(205) 468-4113Republic Services Little Creek Transfer Station in Guin is a local transfer station where residents and small haulers drop off trash to be compacted and hauled out to a landfill elsewhere. People use it when they want a shorter drive than going to a distant landfill, or when a pickup load is too much for curbside pickup.
Drive in and find a small entrance booth and a scale near the entrance-many transfer stations have that setup, so plan to stop twice. Vehicles pull up to the booth first, then follow signs or staff direction toward the tipping area and large compactors or roll-off containers. Expect loud truck traffic, backing vehicles, and a lot of concrete and metal structures; it looks more industrial than a municipal drop-off. Weekends and spring cleanup times often have lines, so there can be a bit of waiting.
