Prattville Landfill

802 County Rd 4 E, Prattville, AL 36067

(334) 430-2823

Prattville Landfill is the county landfill just off County Road 4 East that locals use for larger household cleanouts and business loads. Large trucks and trailers are common here, so expect heavier traffic than at neighborhood drop-off sites. The site functions as the final burial point for trash coming out of Prattville and nearby areas.

A weigh scale sits near the entrance and tipping fees are assessed by weight, so vehicles usually stop twice - in and out. Pull up to the small entrance booth to check in, then follow the main drive toward the active cell area; big piles of covered refuse and dirt berms are visible from the access road. Recycling or drop-off containers, if present, tend to be off to one side past the booth, and weekend lines get long during spring cleanups. Commercial trucks are handled here, so expect other heavy equipment and loaders moving around the tipping face.

Before You Go

  • Bring straps or a tarp to secure loose loads - wind and driving on the access road can scatter debris.
  • Plan to arrive earlier in the day or weekday if possible; weekend and seasonal clean-up times are busiest and lines form at the scale.
  • Have vehicle registration or any required paperwork handy if hauling a commercial load, and be prepared to wait through scale-in and scale-out stops.
