Pine View Sanitary Landfill on Bryan Road is the municipal solid waste landfill serving Dora and nearby areas. Locals and commercial haulers both show up here with everything from household loads to big truck deliveries. It's a working site - large, open, and not like a neat neighborhood drop-off point.
You'll pull up to an entrance booth and cross a scale - most landfills charge by weight, so plan for a weigh-in and weigh-out. After the scale, follow the traffic of other vehicles to the active dumping area; expect bare earth, heavy equipment moving dirt and piles of cover material. The site is expansive, with lots of open space and limited amenities, so visibility can be poor in fog or rain and surfaces get muddy. Weekends and spring-cleanup times tend to form lines, so patience is part of the visit.
