Pine Hollow Landfill

1672 Brickyard Rd, Phenix City, AL 36869

(334) 297-2140

Pine Hollow Landfill is the big burial site out on Brickyard Road in Phenix City, used by locals and businesses dropping off regular trash and larger loads. The place handles final disposal - think of it as where things go to be buried rather than recycled or processed. Drivers from around the county bring household junk, construction debris, and commercial loads here.

There’s a weigh scale and an entrance booth set up near the driveway; expect to pull up, get weighed, tip, and get weighed again on the way out since tipping fees are assessed by weight. The property is wide open with long dirt roads and large compacted mounds of cover material and trash visible from the drop-off point. Commercial trucks are commonly seen here alongside pickup trucks and trailers, so be ready for a mix of traffic and the occasional slow-moving vehicle. Recycling or drop-off bins, if present, are usually off to the side of the main access road rather than mixed in with the burial areas.

Before You Go

  • Secure loads tightly and tarps are a good idea; wind can scatter loose debris while waiting in line.
  • Have ID and any required documentation handy for quicker processing at the booth; lines move faster when drivers are ready.
  • Avoid mid-morning on weekends and spring cleanup days if possible - lines and wait times get noticeably longer then.
