PCA Arrowhead Landfill

Rural Route 2 Box 110 A, Uniontown, AL 36786

(334) 628-4844

PCA Arrowhead Landfill sits out on Rural Route 2 just outside Uniontown and is where larger household and commercial-type loads end up. Trucks and pickup loads are common here; it’s the kind of working, rural facility used when curbside won’t cut it. Don’t expect anything pretty-just a functional place for burying and compacting trash.

There’s an entrance booth and a truck scale, and tipping is typically handled on a weight basis so vehicles are often weighed in and again on the way out. Pull into the scale lanes and follow the directions at the booth; vehicles tip at the active cell or prepared dumping area and then return to be reweighed. The site is mainly gravel drives, heavy equipment, dirt berms and compacted piles rather than paved yards. Weekends and spring cleanup season can get backed up, so lines are the usual nuisance.

Before You Go

  • Secure and tarp any loose material before leaving home-wind and passing trucks can scatter debris on the road and at the site.
  • Allow extra time for waiting, especially on Saturdays and during seasonal cleanups when local haulers and residents all show up.
  • Bring gloves and a sturdy shovel; getting a load arranged at the dumping spot can be muddy and awkward, so be prepared to maneuver things by hand.
