Morris Farm Landfill

Morris Farm Landfill, 4 County Road 418, Hillsboro, 35643, Alabama

Morris Farm Landfill is the Hillsboro landfill on County Road 418 where both household pickups and commercial haulers drop off material to be buried. It gets used by local residents clearing out yards and by contractors with bigger loads, so traffic can be mixed.

There’s a scale just past the entrance booth and tipping fees are handled by weight, so expect to stop on the scale coming in and again when you leave. Pull up to the booth and then follow the site traffic toward the active dumping area; the yard is wide open with large mounds and heavy equipment working the piles. Watch for trucks backing up and for lines that form on weekends or during spring cleanup.

Before You Go

  • Budget extra time for the weigh-in/out process; even a small load can take longer than a quick drop-off because of the scale.
  • Secure loose material with a tarp before getting to the site so dumping goes faster and nothing blows onto the road.
  • Drive slowly and pay attention in the yard-large trucks and machinery move differently than passenger cars, and parking or routing can change depending on where the active cell is.
